Character Education Word of the Month - RESPECT
The character education word for the month of March is Respect. Respect is a positive feeling of regard for someone or something. Respect can be defined as "treat others as you would have them treat you."
The following videos will be shown at the beginning of each week:
Timeout: Respect is oftentimes not any easier for adults than children and teens. Watch this video about two adults who struggle to show respect when they don't agree on something.
Bus: This video is about a young man who shows courtesy and respect by offering his seat in a crowded bus.
Crosswalk: This video puts a twist on a classic theme of "helping an old lady across the street."
Oliver with a Twist: This video shows a new spin on the famous scene in Oliver Twist when he asks for more food at the orphanage. Take a look as this tale takes on a twist of fate by way of practicing good manners. Even the most cantankerous people can be won over when we show respect and use good manners.
